Abstract: Since the invention of integrated circuit half a century ago, the semiconductor industry has been tracking Moore’s Law. And Moore’s Law predicts semiconductor industry feature size change at a periodic rate.  For the electronic packaging professionals the challenge has been in packaging the successive generations of semiconductors with millions of transistors. Today consumer is becoming the major driver for the electronic product market. In response the technology landscape are fast changing. This talk will review their impact to packaging technology innovations and discuss future directions.
