The Baja team finishes 5th in Endurance during an Indiana practice race.

The Terps Racing Baja SAE team recently returned from a friendly endurance practice race called "Midnight Mayhem" in southern Indiana. Hosted by the University of Louisville's Baja Team, the event was a full four-hour endurance race held at the Podium1 Motocross track. Approximately 20 teams attended bringing 32 cars in total. Only minutes into the race, it started pouring rain and the course turned into a total mud pit. All of the teams were struggling for traction and everything turned into slippery mayhem. Despite poor official lap-counting, one of the Terps Racing Baja cars finished in 5th place. The team had a blast and the new team members got to see what Baja racing is all about.

According to Baja SAE Co-Team Leader Josh Cantor, the team plans substantially more driver training this year with an off-road driving practice planned for just about every other weekend. "We are definitely shooting for First place at our two events this year!" says Josh. Those two main races will be held in western Washington state and South Carolina next spring.
