Herrmann's Clinic Planning Model Generator software mentioned in swine flu article

ISR Associate Professor Jeffrey Herrmann's research is mentioned in an online article in MIT's Technology Review. The article talks about the role tracking, communications, and other technology will play in coming months as the globe combats swine flu outbreaks.

Note: The article errs in describing the functionality of the software, which does not "analyze the spread of a disease". Instead, the model can be used by public health emergency preparedness planners to design and improve the flow of patients at mass vaccination clinics and other emergency points of dispensation in health emergencies such as pandemics.

You can read more about Herrmann's research, and download the Clinic Planning Model Generator software at Dr. Herrmann's web site.
