Spring 2006 Minorities in Science and Engineering Student Recognition and Alumni Banquet

Minority engineering students and alumni were recognized at The 25th Annual Student Recognition & Alumni Banquet on April 28. The banquet was presented by The Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering, The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SMSE), and The Black Engineers Society (BES).

Awards for academic achievement and outstanding contributions of Mechanical Engineering students included the following students:

Eminent Scholars (4.0 overall*/4.0 semester): Brittany Blueitt*, Daniel Chenet*, Juan Cevallos, Belem Melchor, Robin Zimmermann, and Robert Aikins.

Academic Excellence (3.0 or higher cumulative GPA): Kofi Addo, Time Aigbe, Cameron Barnes, Samy Chaoui, Franklin Gonzales, Phillipe Kamaha Deugoue, David Lemus, Jose Marin-McDaniel, Larry Murphy, Michael Mutaku, Serge Nameni, Elvis Nditafon, Horacio Nochetto, Brian Ocampos-Barry, Obafemi Ogunosunfisan, Adebambo Olusola, Gustavo Plaza Troconis, Tenaya Prince, Luis Quintanilla, Stephen Ramos, Alba Serrano, Matthew Smith, Thierry Some, Juan Suarez, Pablo Sztein, Aigbe Time, and Dejenu Yezengaw.
