Jelena Srebric, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was recently named a Fellow of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ) by the Academy of Fellows of ISIAQ. Srebric, who is the director of the Cluster for Sustainability in the Built Environment, earned the recognition for demonstrating “distinguished and significant contributions to the indoor air sciences.”

Srebric’s research interests include multiscale modeling of urban neighborhoods; computational fluid dynamics and energy simulations; simulations and measurements of indoor and outdoor environments; ventilation indoor air quality and building energy analysis; and sustainable buildings and climate change.

ISIAQ is an international, independent, multidisciplinary, scientific, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the creation of healthy, comfortable and productive indoor environments. The society believes this is achievable by advancing the science and technology of indoor air quality and climate as it relates to indoor environmental design, construction, operation and maintenance, air quality measurement and health sciences.
