Directions to Center for Environmental Energy Engineering

An interactive map of the College Park Campus that shows the location of all buildings is available at: http://www.parking.umd.edu/themap. The CEEE main office is located in the Glenn Martin Engineering Building (the CHP Integration Center is located in the Chesapeake Building which is located at the far right edge of the map). Be aware that campus security is very efficient at giving out parking tickets so we recommend using the visitor lots noted below.

To Get to UMD College Park Campus:

From I-270:

  • Come down I-270 and stay to the left at the split after Montrose road
  • Stay on I 495 (which is known as the Capitol Beltway) until you come to Route 1 which is immediately after the intersection with I-95
  • Go right (south) on Rt 1

From I-95 North:

  • At the I-95 / I 495 split, stay in the second lane from the right (the sign says this is the I-495 West side).
  • Immediately after the main split, veer to the left as directed by the signs to get to Rt 1.
  • Go right (south) on Rt 1

To CEEE Main Office:

  • Stay on Rt 1 until you come to the main entrance to campus (about 2 miles), which is labeled as Campus Drive on the right and Paint Branch Parkway on the left.
  • Turn right onto campus drive and then take the first right onto Paint Branch Parkway.
  • The main CEEE offices are in Glenn Martin Hall (building 88 – go to the map at http://www.parking.umd.edu/themap and click on building name in the list on the left). The nearest parking is Paint Branch Drive visitors lot which is next to the Agriculture/Life Sciences building (bldg # 296 - click on that building to find the location). If you enter campus via the main entrance, drive past Glenn Martin Hall to get to the visitors’ parking lot.
  • Walk back to the Glenn Martin Hall and enter the door under the bridge between buildings 88 and 89. Take the elevator or stairs by this door to the 4th floor which is the CEEE office.

To Chesapeake Building

  • Stay on Rt 1 until you come to the main entrance to campus (about 2 miles), which is labeled as Campus Drive on the right and Paint Branch Parkway on the left.
  • Turn right onto campus drive and then take the first right onto Paint Branch Parkway.
  • Go straight until you reach the other gate of the campus, make a U-turn and get to the visitor's parking lot
  • Chesapkeake building (building 338 - go to the map at http://www.parking.umd.edu/themap and click on building name in the list on the left) is right beside the parking lot.
